My Sankofa Table welcomes our guests to quarterly vegan food samplings presenting REAL Soul Food where we share our tasty plant-based recipes. With an “eating to live” focus, we intend to promote electrical indigenous foods to help save lives one meal at a time and to introduce healthy food alternatives.
We open our doors, our hearts, and our kitchen to you in hopes that your dining experience with us will be phenomenal!
Admission to these events is a minimal donation that is specified in the invitation. If you are located in the Charlotte, NC area and are interested in attending an upcoming event, please share your contact information with us so that you can be added to the invite list.
Tia Capers is the owner and hostess of My Sankofa Table. She is also the preparer of the fine plant-based cuisine that is served at the vegan food samplings.
At the My Sankofa Table events, there are several courses, new dishes, new desserts, new friends, and great conversation! Seating is very limited. We look forward to seeing you soon and don’t forget to bring your appetite!

Are there ID or minimum age requirements to enter the event?
No, all ages are welcomed.
Vegan food selections may not appeal to all appetites.
No alcoholic beverages will be served.
Can I attend if I’m not vegetarian/vegan?
Yes, most of our participants who attend our dinners are NOT vegetarian/vegan.
All lifestyles are welcomed!
Can I attend if I’m not vaccinated/fully vaccinated?
Yes, all attendees will be required to wash/sanitize hands upon arrival and will wear masks when not eating. Attendees will be socially distant within reasonable measure – due to limited seating and space. We will not be responsible for any illness that may come about as a result of attending “My Sankofa Table”.
What if I have a food allergy/dietary restriction?
Please call ahead of time to inform of dietary restrictions/allergies such as: nuts, gluten, etc.
Some of the vegan dishes may contain walnuts or Brazil nuts.
Some dishes may contain spelt flour (ancient wheat that is not gluten free).
Most of the vegan dishes will contain the alkaline electrical foods listed on Dr. Sebi’s Nutritional Guide.
There will be no tofu, or soy prepared/served at the dinner.
Most of the fruits, vegetables, and grains served will be organic/pesticide-free.
